Ron savored his time with his wife Nancy traveling to Hawaii in March. Ron enjoyed watching his boys in their various activities particularly Alex’s musical performances and Seth’s wrestling matches. They owned and operated it for six years when Ron sold the carpet business and began purchasing and managing rental properties. In 1988, Ron and Nancy purchased Russell Carpet Company. Together, they had two children, Alex and Seth. In September 1983, Ron was united in marriage to Nancy Marie Bender. Ron attended both Colby Community College and Ft. The Underwoods moved to Russell in 1961 and Ron graduated from Russell High School in 1972. Ron was born Februin Springfield, MO at Burge Hospital the son of Lowell “Pat” and Velma (Myers) Underwood. Ronald Dean Underwood, 56 of Russell died Tuesday, Jat the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas following a battle with cancer.
